The context: a school during its admissions period

Every year, admissions teams receive a high volume of enquiries. Too few applicants are called back in time. The most motivated go elsewhere.

For its 2025 open day, a school wanted to invite everyone in its contact database.

The need: knowing who is really motivated

Admissions teams often face the same difficulties:

  • They do not know who in their database is really motivated.
  • They spend hours calling, only to reach voicemail.
  • Follow-ups are irregular, and enrolments suffer.

What was set up with Starleads: an invitation call to every contact

The school had a Starleads AI agent call everyone in its contact database to invite them to its open day. During the call, the agent qualifies the applicant’s plans: intention, timeline, motivation.

On an admissions journey, the agent can also:

  • answer inbound enquiries straight away;
  • transfer the call to the right person on the team;
  • follow up with undecided contacts and those who have not replied;
  • invite them to the school’s other events.

Follow-up is explained on the Lead follow-up page, and other uses for schools on the Training providers page.

The results: a cleaner database, promising applicants spotted

70%

of the database cleaned up

13%

of contacts with medium to high interest

50%

of calls handled automatically on voicemail

Profiles already enrolled elsewhere or with no clear plans are set aside. Each call adds qualified information to the database. The school handled a high volume of contacts without losing qualified applicants: its advisers take over the high-potential profiles.
